The Rift is the hub of the multiverse, it's more likely dark forces come from another plane, through the Rift as it's a point of access to all other planes.

Avarre, I just think you overly simplifying it all. Remember, charr did not only worship titans (which are fiery only in one form) but also the mursat (you can see stick effigies representing them on the charr controlled lands)

I find it a bit strange, as these two ware opposing factions, but it does suggest that they both are connected to charr history. And I doubt its as simple as “saw beings of fire, and worshipped them”.

Also do not forget the searing, this wasn’t your typical charr magic, and I would like to have some explanation about what exactly did charr summon that day (there is something disturbing about these crystals), it might even be connected to the outcast got, but I doubt that.

I'm still wondering where the Enchanted Armors from the Crystal Desert and the Mursaat constructs fit into all this... as in why are they so similar in appearence?

The Enchanted Armors are likely constructs of the Forgotten, and if there is any link, this would mean the Forgotten and the Mursaat are linked somehow, at least by a form of magic that can animate piles of rocks/armor.

A stretch, but what if they are all aspects of Glint? (the Mursaat and Forgotten)

Since the armor pieces that make up the Enchanted are virtually identical to Mursaat armor, I'm more partial to the theory that the Mursaat tried to find Glint, or a bloodstone, in the desert and simply didn't make it (or they were eradicated)... and the Forgotten animated the armor into the Enchanted.

I've pondered that vaguely my self Avarre, for there are simliarties (misspell) which would be possible.

The only thing I dont like is how we aren't getting any other lore on a more regular basis...

but anyway, abaddon's mouth is the largest volcano in tyria, we know that, but you failed to mention that it was also the very volcano that the gods threw the bloodstones into to stop the races from destroying each other for power. over time there was a massive eruption, possibly caused by abaddon, which sent the bloodstones across tyria.

there are 4 bloodstones and the keystone, the keystone's location is unknown. but bloodstones have been found in the maguma jungle, the southern shiverpeaks, and at the base of the volcano. we can assume that one of the remaining pieces reaced elona and abaddon's followers plan on using it to free abaddon from his prison.

I just want to note that we don't really know that Abaddon's Mouth is actually, you know, Abaddon's mouth... For all we know it could be the wrong side of Abaddon we're looking at.

lolalot....

Anyway. I'm kinda lost with all this stuff. Is there a timeline where GW events are registered? because afaik Prophs and Factions happen simultaneously (since your character can hop from one continent to the other and catch the events whiel they happen), so I'm thinking the same will apply to nightfall... will it?

because the zaishen commander is the same one that you would find if you went to the zaishen elite area with any character and because jatoro musagi seems to be the same age as in factions we can assume that it will take place around the same time as prophecies and facitions. also that sunspear chick said that she was getting help from tyria and cantha so we can expect to see devona, cynn, mehnlo, aidan, eve, talon, panaku, argo, danika, proffesor gai......once we get to the main land.

If you are not a developer, you have no real way of knowing what you just typed.

Yes it has. It's a volcano. You jump in it, and you end up in the Underworld. This is not a complex issue.

Nobody said it was a portal letting you get there alive!
If that was the case, the lore wouldn't describe a portal to the underworld. IT would say a certain death to those who enter instead of:

"Abaddon's Mouth is rumored to be the gateway into the Underworld. But only demons and devils would dare enter the fiery chasm. All other risk being burned to cinders before even getting to magma's edge."

Especially when you had someone like Lord Odran opening portals into the mists and then hiding them "by powerful wards and enchantments".

I think the charr attack crystals that were left over are from some sort of attack they used...
Something elemental

You know... like how Ice Shards leaves them laying around...

SO what you're saying is that you can actually comprehend?! Oh joyous day!

Anyway, what I'm saying that there is no bonafide proof that a portal does or does not exist there other than the description of the area.

Actually since they've stated (in the PC gamer preview) that Jeff Grub expanded the Nightfall storyline to close the prior two chapters based on small snippets of GW lore, he's probably closer to the truth than you may realize.
